SIU Credit Union is a strong and growing credit union doing business in Franklin, Jackson, Jefferson, Johnson, Perry, Marion, Randolph, Saline, Massac, Union and Williamson counties in Illinois. We currently have a full time opening for a Marketing Assistant. If you have the ability to provide a high level of service to our internal and external members, we would like to hear from you.
The Marketing Assistant provides administrative and functional support to the Marketing Director. This position assists with SIU Credit Union marketing projects including marketing promotions, direct mail projects, advertising, public relations and member education, while ensuring that the Credit Union's professional image is maintained.
Creating and implementing an ongoing social media plan, concentrating on Facebook, Twitter, SIU Credit Union blog and YouTube accounts. Posting daily content about credit union products, services and promotions, conducting polls and soliciting feedback.
Assisting in youth marketing campaigns and financial education. Attending on-campus events at various locations.
Participating and assisting with planning and implementation of special events.
Assisting with promotions involving available member benefits and resources.
Assisting with development of general and promotional marketing materials including print, web banners, radio and television advertising.
Ordering and maintaining inventory of forms, brochures and other marketing materials.
Other duties as needed; including but not limited to, processing monthly orders for staff apparel, maintaining confidentiality, remaining informed and complying with security procedures and other duties as assigned by management.
*Associates Degree with emphasis in advertising, marketing, or public relations preferred or at least 1 year of professional marketing and communications experience.
*Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with members, staff and management.
*Good analytical skills.
* Excellent computer and keyboarding skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office required. Mac experience and Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Contribute or Illustrator preferred, but not required.
