SIU Credit Union is a strong and growing credit union doing business in Franklin, Jackson, Jefferson, Johnson, Perry, Marion, Randolph, Saline, Massac, Union and Williamson counties in Illinois. We currently have a full time opening for a Member Service Representative Floater. If you have the ability to provide a high level of service to our internal and external members, we would like to hear from you.
Member Service Representatives perform a wide variety of duties relating to processing member transactions including but not limited to; making account transfers, issuing money orders and cashiers checks, account maintenance, opening savings, checking, money market and certificate of deposit accounts (including business accounts, trusts and IRA accounts), and processing loan applications of prospective borrowers from interview throughout loan closing. The value the MSR Floater position allows for in-person, personalized service and provides opportunities to conduct needs-based sales using referrals for other Credit Union products and services that support various production goals as a backup in all branch locations, as needed.
Processing all member transactions.
Establishing share accounts, certificates of deposit, IRAs, ATM/Debit cards, payroll deductions and direct deposit for eligible members.
Maintenance of accounts as needed, on case by case basis.
Promoting all Credit Union financial services and educating members about features and benefits of those services. Cross selling products and services that benefit individual member's financial lives while achieving established goals.
Interviewing prospective borrowers, processing loan applications, preparation of loan documents for disbursal of loans through closing. Maintaining electronic records and logs for loan files.
Must be eligible to register with the Nationwide Licensing System and Registry (NMLS). Must maintain registration with NMLS as required for position.
Must be flexible and willing to travel to any SIU Credit Union location as a fill in when needed.
Other duties as needed; including but not limited to, documenting all member service contacts performed, maintaining confidentiality, researching problems for possible resolution, remaining informed and in compliance with security procedures and applicable regulations, attending and participating in meetings and other duties as directed by management.
*High School Diploma and Bondability required
*Two Years Related Experience required
* Ability to register with NMLS- Nationwide Licensing System and Registry- and maintaining NMLS registration required
*Excellent math skills and good analytical skills
*Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with members, staff and management
*Typing and keyboard skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Windows based programs
*Financial institution background and lending knowledge preferred *Must be willing to travel *Competitive salary & benefit program
